President George Bush: 'Goodbye from the world's biggest polluter'

The American leader, who has been condemned throughout his presidency for failing to tackle climate change, ended a private meeting with the words: "Goodbye from the world's biggest polluter."

He then punched the air while grinning widely, as the rest of those present including Gordon Brown and Nicolas Sarkozy looked on in shock.
Beyond words, really. Send the asshole to Gitmo.

If I hadn't followed the link, I would have thought this was from The Onion. He really said this. Sad.

Yep. He's a dick, confirmed once again. He'll take time out to try and get offshore drilling all fired up before he leaves. One last favor to the oil companies he's been shilling for over the last 8 years.

This country should have been dumping money into increasing the efficiency of solar cells... not effing around looking for more oil and cosying up to dictators overseas. It's 2008 and solar cells still fall in the 12 to 20 percent efficient range, maybe as much as 30 if you add expensive optics to focus light on the cell.

A much more efficient cell would probably generate reasonable amounts of electricity even on overcast days. There's no doubt in my mind that we would have far more efficient solar cells today if it hadn't been for greed and republicans.
